Do you have a student applying to college or training? Or are you considering a return to learning?
December is the month most students make decisions about where to apply and line up financial aid, and VSAC is here to help. As Vermont’s nonprofit higher education agency, we’ve planned a month-long initiative to help students and families prepare for life after high school and keep as many doors open as possible. We’re calling it Vermont Applies month, with scheduled online workshops covering everything education and training related – like how to fill out the Common App; tips to write a resume; successful interview strategies; applying for scholarships; education and training alternatives to college; and how families can best support their college-bound student. See the schedule here, and don’t miss the Vermont Virtual College Fair on December 2, from 3 pm to 8 pm! Register here.
Throughout December, we’ll be offering presentations to help you apply to college, work and/or training opportunities. VSAC outreach counselors will also be available for personalized 1:1 appointments to help students and families complete their FAFSAs, Vermont state grant applications, scholarship applications and answer any financial aid questions that come up.
